Nightingale House care homeS

Based in Clapham, South West London, Nightingale House welcomes Jewish men and women over the age of 60 from every part of the community. We are renowned for our excellent facilities, dedicated staff and high quality of care.

At Nightingale House we are able to care for around 200 individuals. Our well-trained team of staff and volunteers ensure that each individual receives attention all day, every day.

Ranked as fully compliant by independent regulator the Care Quality Commission, our care services include the full spectrum of residential, nursing, dementia and respite/short stay facilities. Residents benefit from an on-site GP surgery, pharmacy and physiotherapy and occupational therapy department as well as an exceptional activities programme.

We also have wonderful facilities including a concert hall, shop, hairdressing salon, exceptional activities centre including a cyber café, ceramics section and baking area and peaceful landscaped gardens. Adjacent to our Wohl Wing is a unique dementia garden including reminiscence areas, sensory and water features.

We provide a home for life. We care for residents from the moment they arrive and for the rest of their lives, no matter how much their physical or mental health may deteriorate, giving security to both residents and their families.

We prioritise applications for care from members of the Refugee and Survivor communities.

Staff training

We have been awarded Beacon status accreditation within the Gold Standards Framework, the national standard for end of life or palliative care. The Beacon status is the highest level awarded to a care home and recognises care home staff, at all levels, working together as a team and with other professionals to help provide the best standard of care possible for residents as they face the latter stages of their life.   All members of staff update their mandatory training every year to include palliative and end of life care.
